The Booster Strap

The Booster Strap - The Key to Better Skiing

Booster Straps are the secret weapon of elite skiers. They allow you to start turns quicker, have more control, and transmit power more efficiently. By cinching down the Booster Strap, you create a stiffer flex in your boot, which gives you better edge control and precision handling.
Quicker turns: Booster Straps help you start turns quicker by reducing the lateral movement of your boot. For sharper, more precise turns.
More control: Booster Straps give you more control over your skis by reducing the amount of flex in your boot.
Efficient power transmission: Booster Straps help you transmit power more efficiently from your body to your skis.
Comfort: Booster Straps can also help to improve comfort by reducing the amount of space between your shin and the boot tongue.
Cushioning: Booster Straps also provide cushioning to keep your shins from banging.

If you're looking to improve your skiing, Booster Straps are a must-have. They can help you take your skiing to the next level.

EASY INSTALLATION:

  1. Remove the old strap and keep the old fastening screws.
  2. Wear the ski boot and place the Booster as showed in the picture, so that the elastic portion is placed above the tongue and under the plastic in the front and with the cam buckle facing outward. Place the strap in the rear plastic above the old holes.
  3. Tension the strap by pulling it according to your preference while holding it on the back to keep the writing “Booster” in the front.
  4. While keeping the preferred tension move the strap to center the writing “Booster” above the front tongue.
  5. Make hole/holes in the strap with an awl in correspondence of the hole/holes in the plastic of the old strap.
  6. Fix the Booster with the old screws.

ADJUSTING THE BOOSTER STRAP:

  1. For maximum performance the Booster strap should be routed outside the rear spoiler and inside the plastic shell up against the tongue in front
  2. The elastic must be stretched to be effective. Begin by stretching 2 cm.
  3. If on your very first turn you don't notice a dramatic difference in ski response the Booster strap is too loose or installed incorrectly
  4. On the other hand, if after a few turns it feels like something is pushing you backwards the Booster is too tight
  5. The greater the stretch the greater the performance enhancement. However be careful not to over stretch.
  6. Adjust the tension according to your technique, discipline and snow conditions.
  7. Keep in mind that as in any sport your skill level improves with experience so your Booster settings may vary with time. Adjust to your skill level.
