Twice the Fight | Sam Maes. Olympian. Independent. Underdog.

A short film about belief, passion, and the choice to fight from the outside.

To all the young shredders out there, keep believing and work hard.
There is nothing more beautiful than having a dream and being able to chase it, no matter the outcome.”
— Sam Maes

Twice the Fight tells the story of Sam Maes, an Olympian alpine ski racer competing independently against the giants of the sport.

In a discipline shaped by large national programs and extensive resources, Sam has chosen a different path. Supported by Team Global Racing, a small and independent team, he continues to progress on the World Cup circuit through discipline, consistency, and relentless focus.

The film offers an inside look at the preparation, mindset, and work that happen long before the start gate. It is a story about choosing independence, embracing responsibility, and finding strength in the process.

Twice the Fight and Sam Maes’ career mirror SHRED.’s own journey as an independent brand founded by athletes and engineers.
