“We try to inspire young athletes through our attitude and approach. We explain to them that our sport is not only about winning, but about staying committed even when things don’t go your way.” — Andreas Žampa
Some athletes build careers.
Some build a legacy.

Andreas Žampa builds both.
He represents Slovakia on the biggest stages in the world. But he also represents something older. Something inherited.
His family is already the fourth generation of ski racers. The fight did not start with him.
Four generations deep
Yes, our family is deeply rooted in ski racing. Together with my brothers, we are already the fourth generation of skiers – our great-grandfather was also part of the national team. I see the Žampa Cup as our signature project. It’s currently held in four countries, and our goal is to give the next generation what we felt was missing when we were young. I truly believe the Žampa Cup can grow into a major event that helps support future world stars.
Building beyond racing
The Žampa Cup did not start as a brand. It started as responsibility.
I always try to think about what I will do after my racing career. We started the Žampa Cup together with my brothers after Adam’s big results in 2014, when he finished 5th and 6th at the Olympic Games. We realized it was a great opportunity to motivate young athletes in our beautiful sport. Together with our partners, we are working to make the Žampa Cup free of charge for every competitor.
Maximum in every run
On snow, the standard is simple.
I try to give my maximum in every single run. I’m a perfectionist, and it’s important for me to deliver the best possible performance each time I’m in the start gate. Representing Slovakia at the biggest sporting events has always been my dream, and today it is a true honor. I always give it everything I have.
Together with my brothers, we invest a lot of energy into what we do. We have strong partners who support us, and without them it wouldn’t be possible. At the same time, being a smaller and tight-knit team allows us to focus on every detail and adapt quickly to our training needs. Over the years, we’ve learned that this also brings certain advantages.
What the fight really means
We try to inspire young athletes through our attitude and approach. We explain to them that our sport is not only about winning, but about staying committed even when things don’t go your way. The key is to give your maximum in every run — because the feeling at the finish line after that kind of effort is always worth it.
Four generations.
One standard.
The fight runs in the family.
