Tyler Van Martin

Tyler aka Weez is our resident mountan man from Jackson Wy. Wether he’s coaching kids how to huck off Corbits, or throwing miller flips into lift lines, Weez always has a good time. He’s pretty easy to find, just stop by the tram line every 10 minutes, and look for the biggest smile around.

“I’ve been skiing since I was two and fell in love with the outdoors around that age. That love has grown into a life long passion of getting out amongst it the deeper, bigger and steeper the better. The best thing about skiing to me is sharing the joy that our sport brings with other people. There’s no better feeling than the collaborative stoke of an epic day with friends!”

A Q&A With Tyler Van Martin

What about the products are you most psyched on and how do they help you?

The Smartefy goggles are a super light weight minimalist design and they offer an incredible field of vision.

What's the perfect day of shredding to you?

The perfect day for me as always is shredding pow with my best friends, in a super challenging and playful area. One that’s chalk full of pillows, cliffs, tight chutes and some jump building sites. This place has no one around for miles and you can just appreciate the beauty and magic of skiing with your best buds!

Gnarliest or scariest experience riding?

Probably having to down climb off of Cody Peak after a big Storm rolled in on our perfect blue bird day. There was about an arms length of visibility and we could hear snow moving on the pitch we wanted to ski on top of this our boot pack had been snowed in. We decided that down climbing was our safest option and proceeded to route find our way around dangerous exposures and avalanche terrain. Luckily we all made it down the 1200ft down climb to safer terrain and got a good laugh out of just how gnarly the experience was.
