“I began to ski when I was 3, and I began racing when I was 9. When I was a child, I wasn’t good in the national championships, and only started some good results when I started FIS races. I joined the French ski team in 2006, and now I’m racing World Cup.”

A Q&A With Margot Bailet

What's the perfect day of shredding to you?

For me, the perfect day on the mountain is a powder day with sun. But it’s hard to beat home in Nice and enjoying beach activities with family and friends. That always makes me feel happy!!

Gnarliest or scariest experience riding?

I remember a big crash I had in downhill training, but I think a lot of ski racers have those terrifying moments. But you move on it because you your sport!

Favorite place to ski?

The best place to ski is Altenmarkt Zauchensee in Austria. I really love the start of the downhill because in 10 second you’re at 120km/h, so when I’m at the start I can feel lot of adrenaline, and I love it!
