Shred Dry FabricEN 1077B is a European Standard for Helmets for Alpine Skiers and Snowboarders. Certified EN 1077B helmets pass the same severe shock absorbing and penetration tests, retention system performance, field of vision and durability as the EN 1077A. The only difference is a smaller coverage: the norm allows soft ear pads, for maximum comfort.
Shred Dry FabricASTM F2040 is the American National Standard for Helmets Used for Recreational Snow Sports. Certified ASTM F2040 helmets pass very severe dynamic strenght retention, roll-off (for positional stability), and impact tests with three different anvils. At low, high, and room temperature.

How to Fit Your Shred Helmet

Measure your head with a Shred tape at a retail store to determine your size range. Remember though: the best way to choose your helmet is to try it on!

To check if you found the correct size, adjust the retention system properly. You will know the helmet is the right size when it sits snuggly and does not come off when quickly rotating the head forward and backward, as well as side to side.

If you do not have access to helmet for fitting, measure your head with a Shred tape measure by placing it around your head and horizontally over your eyebrows. Feel free to ask the retailers to help you out in the process. They will help you choose the right size.

But there is another way. Download and print out the following sizing tool and follow the instructions on how to properly measure your head:

Measure Your Head

A size 58 helmet corresponds to 58cm circumferance, a size 61 is 61cm, etc….

Remember that every head is different, so the tape measurement may not be as accurate as actually trying the helmet on. The shape of your head is not a perfect circle!

We cannot stress this enough: choose the right helmet size and wear it properly!!!
